Movable Scaffolding Systems
Rationality is one of the most important tools in the design of bridge construction equipments. Although the OPS concept may have numerous applications, movable scaffolding systems were selected as preferred elements.
Movable scaffolding systems are conceived to be used in the construction of cast in situ concrete bridges. These equipments are the traveling steel structures which support the formwork that gives shape to the bridge. Due to the use of an auto-adaptative prestressing system, BERD’s movable scaffolding systems are much lighter than conventional ones, once OPS greatly reduces deformations and internal forces. In short: less steel, more load capacity and high levels of safety.
BERD's movable scaffolding systems are available in underslung and overhead solutions, for single or double concreting and for a range of spans from 25m up to 70m. Its selection depends on the bridge specifications (shape and variety of pillars, radius, number of spans, span length variation, soil characteristics, among others) and customer preferences as well.
For maximum efficiency, double span equipments are prepared to achieve two bridge spans down to less than a week cycle: M2x25-S, M2x30-S.
