The IV Brazilian Congress of Bridges and Structures took place on the 4th and 5th May. Organized by the ABECE (Brazilian Association of Engineering and Consulting) and the ABPE (Brazilian Association of Bridges and Structures), the congress was integrated in the Brazil Road Expo, a technological international event of Pavement and Road Infrastructure. Under the subject Emblematic Structures: future challenging projects, the aim of this event was to share major works currently under construction, as well as relevant and recent works in the research & development areas, going from project phase, construction, rehabilitation and reinforcement of the most varied types of structures and works of art. During these two days, some of the most respected specialists at a Brazilian International level discussed and presented their most innovative ideas and projects in the structural engineering areas.
