BERD has recently launched into full operation a movable scaffolding system for the construction of the bridge deck over the Corgo River. The contract signed between BERD and CAET XXI – a consortium of three renowned construction companies for a highway sub-concession (Auto-Estrada Transmontana project) predicts the use of the underslung movable scaffolding system M60-I, which allows the construction of spans up to 60 meters. The M60-I is equipped with the innovative organic prestressing system (OPS), as well as other production support systems which enables cost reduction and productivity increase.
