The Spanish Minister for Internal Development, Iñigo de la Serna, visited last week, with members of Sacyr, one of the most important infrastructures being built in Latin America, the Pumarejo Bridge in Barranquilla.
The M1-70-S, movable scaffolding system for in place construction, was designed by BERD for this project, and is being operated by Construgomes. This autonomous state-of-the art equipment lifts the supports by its own overhead cranes and materials are supplied using the previously built deck.
This equipment is already being used in the construction of the largest bridge in Colombia and is currently ending the 2nd of the 17 overall spans.
