BERD is working on another Project in Portugal, the N14 bypass between Maia and Trofa. For this project, which comprises the construction of the Bridge over Trofa River and 3 other viaducts, in a total of 1660 m long, BERD supplied an Overhead Movable Scaffolding System.

The MSS M44-S, prepared for optimised and industrialised construction, is already executing the deck of the second viaduct in weekly cycles (one 44 meter-span per week). The need for quick transfers between viaducts led BERD to develop a partial dismantling solution to reduce downtime. A security system, to allow construction on top of a railway track without its deactivation, was also implemented.
